Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog!  My wonderful sister-in-law Jamie (you can visit her blog No Perfect Words) taught me how to crochet while I was pregnant with my daughter and I haven’t put down my crochet hook since.  When my husband and I moved to Altus AFB in Oklahoma, I met a friend named Nikki (you can visit her Facebook page Hoopla) who taught me how to read some complicated patterns and inspired me to take things to the next level.

I’ve decided to finally start a blog where I can share my projects and patterns.  I hope this grows into something wonderful so please pass this on to your friends.

For my first post, I wanted to share my favorite blanket pattern.  If you know me you know I am OBSESSED with chevron so I love this easy chevron ripple blanket pattern from Attic 24.  It is written in UK crochet terms but she has step-by-step instructions and it is easy to pick up.  I love this pattern for its versatility and modern design.  It is my go-to pattern for baby blankets these days and I really enjoy experimenting with different color combinations.

Below are some examples of blankets that I have made for my friend’s babies. I don’t have pictures of all of the ones I’ve made but in the future I’ll take better quality photos of all of my work to share.

Enjoy!
